La National Gallery of Victoria Art School , associée à la National Gallery of Victoria , était un collège privé des beaux-arts fondé en 1867. C'était le principal centre de formation artistique universitaire en Australie jusqu'en 1910 environ. Parmi ses sommités, l'école était dirigée par Sir William Dargie en 1946-1953, John Brack de 1962 à 1968 et Lenton Parr de 1968 à son absorption dans le tout nouveau Victorian College of the Arts .
