Westmorland était une circonscription couvrant le comté de Westmorland dans le nord de l'Angleterre , qui a renvoyé les députés à la Chambre des communes du Parlement du Royaume-Uni .

La circonscription a eu deux périodes d'existence distinctes.

Jusqu'en 1885
Il a renvoyé deux membres du Parlement (MPs) à la Chambre des communes du Parlement du Royaume-Uni . Pour la série d'élections à partir des élections générales de 1885, il s'est divisé en deux : Appleby et Kendal , qui avaient tous deux été des arrondissements parlementaires mais ont été reconstitués en circonscriptions de comté .
1918-1983
La circonscription a été recréée en monoplace pour les élections générales de 1918 et abolie pour les élections générales de 1983 .

Lors des changements de limites en 1983, la partie sud de la circonscription est devenue une partie du nouveau siège de Westmorland et Lonsdale et la zone nord a été transférée à Penrith et The Border.

Limites

Le siège de 1918 – 1983 correspondait au comté de Westmorland même après l'abolition du comté administratif en 1974 .
