Jazz at the Philharmonic - Yoyogi National Stadium, Tokyo 1983: Return to Happiness est un album live sorti en 1983. L'album comprend Louie Bellson , Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis , Harry "Sweets" Edison , Ella Fitzgerald , Al Gray , JJ Johnson , Joe Pass , Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen , Oscar Peterson , Zoot Sims et Clark Terry .

Shin Watanabe, un éditeur de musique au Japon, voulait marquer le trentième anniversaire de la première visite de Jazz à l'Orchestre philharmonique au Japon en 1953. Il a contacté le producteur de disques Norman Granz pour organiser un concert. Depuis le premier concert en 1953, plusieurs des musiciens étaient décédés, comme Gene Krupa, Ben Webster et Willie Smith. Fitzgerald a joué avec son groupe de Keter Betts , Bobby Durham et Paul Smith . Leur performance occupe le deuxième disque du CD à deux disques.
